Must take pictures

These last few posts are more like the Zaiko Family Blah-g. Sorry, I'll get on that for you (Kristi! :P )

Poor baby

I was watching MJ play tonight with his baby doll. I'm not bothered by the fact that he likes to play with a doll. But Mike and I do get a kick out of it when his usual nurturing play is replaced by the ever developing all boy play. I overheard him talking to the doll. Here's what he said:
I'm sorry. You have to go to the doctors. (Shoving baby head first into his play microwave and attempting to shut the door which would not close) This is going to hurt a little but we have to do it. Oh no, you have to go to the hospital. (puts baby on a wooden tray and places it in the oven) I'm sorry baby, this will hurt a little but we'll do it really fast. It's going to get really hot. (twists the dials on the oven) When you get out I'll give you some food. (Removes baby from oven and pours water in its mouth, fakes gagging sounds and coughing noises) Oh, you're all better now. (Shows me the baby) He got new fingers at the doctor's office. I asked why he had to bake the baby, he said it wasn't an oven but it was a fridge. I asked why the baby would be getting hot...silly all knowing grin.

Awww, how sweet he is...nuke, bake and choke baby dolls all in the name of health.

Hold the Press...

...we're not sure about the move yet. I mean we have so much time to get this all figured out, why rush things? We are still moving in under a month. To places unknown. Stay tuned....

She can walk but can she Hula?

That's right, we're moving to Hawaii. Not a whole lot of details yet but I will post them as I know. We haven't really explained it to MJ yet as we want to have a better understanding of the job and the move. But sheesh, I sure hope they like bright blonde haired children there! I'm nervous, excited, sad all at the same time. I hate to be so far from family but at least it is far with allure. Damn it, here I was thinking I had a whole winter to get my body bathing suit ready. Oh well.

Make that 6!

Annabelle took 6 steps together yesterday evening. MJ videoed it too! Since the video is 6 minutes long I need to get a moment to chop it to the good stuff before I can post it. I must say while I find myself cheering her on when she does it, in the quietness of my thoughts I'm just a little sad. I have grown to love the quick rap of her little hands smacking the floor as she makes her way around the house. Won't be long now.

Random pictures and thoughts for Kristi! ;)

Hi Kristi! Annabelle took some steps today! One time she actually took 3 at once! She is now a master at standing up on her own too. We tried to video it but by the time I got my camera she wasn't as into it. I think we caught one step. I'll have to upload it. MJ was the videographer, that in itself was interesting!
I'm converting pictures right now to post for you. My computer is slow so I'll just write some more! Mike has his interview tomorrow. It has been such a long time coming I'm not quite sure what to do once it's over. I hope he'll get some answers one way or another soon since we're moving in a month. Would be nice to know! :)

MJ got the "Me" bag at school today. He was so stinking excited. You can imagine him with both hands in the air saying "yes!" as he explained to me how he reacted when his name was chosen. He now has to collect things from the house and tell about them during circle time. Kind of an in depth show and tell. So far he has his dolphin with a sombrero from Hilton Head, his Louis Armstrong CD, montser truck particularly Grave Digger paraphernalia, his Peyton Manning jersey, Oreos, sea glass, his baby doll (well it is on the list to be added the morning of!), his turtle, oh gosh, I know there's more but I have forgotten.

We were going to try and go to Maine this weekend but, "tut tut, it looks like rain!" So we'll probably start sorting through the crap around the house and attempt to figure out what to move again and what to sell/give/throw away. Maine sounds like more fun. Hopefully we'll make it before we leave RI.

I'm going to check to see if I have pictures for you yet...

OK, these first two are from the blueberry pancake morning. You can understand now why there was a purple haze on both the kids for about a day. The kitchen wasn't much better. I kept finding random squishy blueberries which would attach themselves to the kids and wander the house. Gross!Guess she got a sour one! Oh crap, I forgot to make the images larger for you. I'll try to remember on the rest I upload here.

OMG, I must have oldtimers because I forgot to make them bigger again. These are from MJ's belt test. He got promoted to blue belt last week. She gives them their tips (the tape at the end of the belt) on the same day as the exam so while these pics aren't of his actual belt I thought his excitement on this tip picture was cuter!

Isn't he fierce?

OK, I got the sizing right now. The other day while MJ was at school I took Annabelle to the Green Animals Topiary Gardens. She wasn't too interested in posing for me but I managed to fire off 80 shots or so! No wonder I'm running out of disk space! On the first one I was telling her to smell the flowers. And this one I had to put cookies down next to her to get her to sit down here. She literally fell asleep the moment I put her back in the car she was so tired. But she looked too cute! Oh yeah, and I got a smile on a couple too! I don't remember what she thought was so funny but it made for a cute picture. I had planned on editing these but I am so far behind on my editing that I figured I'd just post them.

Here are some more. The other day she was getting ready for a bath. I had to have a buns shot. I had to shoot quickly because she was getting in! She LOVES the bath. She slides all over the place and splashes. It's so cute! Boy I hadn't posted in a while. We went to the beach (as we always do) and I experimented with some unconventional pictures. Here's our family portrait. I wish I wasn't wearing that camera bag, I look really weird. But we were being scary so it doesn't matter!
I think I IM'ed these to you, didn't I? They are so cute.
Aww crap, blogger is so annoying and it leaves huge spaces. When cleaning up I accidentally deleted a pic. Sorry, I've spent too much time doing this already! I think you had it anyway.Remember those pictures I took of my neighbor's kids? Well I tried to do the same with MJ but he was afraid he was going to fall out of the tree! Haha! I think I could sell this photo for stock to GreenPeace! NOT!

Mmmm....I love pasta! They don't call me Belly for no reason! She loves to brush her teeth. We do this many times through out the day. She now spits (well makes a spit sound) in the sink too. Holy crap this bathroom is ugly. And this is the nice one! HAHA!

OK Kristi, this blogs for you. It took me over an hour to get it done but here it is. I'll post again soon, hopefully.

Look what Belly can do!

Don't get too excited, she isn't walking. But this week she's really taken an interest in standing independently. Mike has seen her stand up from a seated position holding nothing. She gets into it now and loves it when you cheer for her. She'll stand and clap for herself. It is so cute. Now from my experience with MJ I know that walking could still be months away but we thought we'd share her accomplishment with you. She's so proud. Not too sure why she wanted to pull up her dress. I think she was getting confused because crawling it tied her up. She probably doesn't realize that dresses will be much easier to move in when she's upright! Anyway, I'll eventually edit these and clean them up a bit but for now I thought they were too cute not to share. Gosh, I wish I didn't feel the need to aplogize for photos I haven't edited at all. Strange mindset I guess. Oh, and MJ, he actually posed and smiled for me. He is so cute! He starts school tomorrow. He toughed out his preschool physical. Only one blood draw he wasn't too happy with. However he was more unhappy that the doctor's office stocked all sorts of stickers but not a single sticker of a trash truck, his favorite. What? Seriously cried more over that than the vial of blood they took. Poor kid, almost had me at Michael's in the scrapbook section looking for trash truck stickers. I changed my mind, in a heated internal battle, and decided a little disappointment is good for him.

Beaching it and a Cookout

We had such a nice weekend. I wish all weekends were 4 days! After our boat trip on Friday we went back to Jamestown and then to the beach for more glass collecting and some fishing. MJ almost caught a crab but it jumped off right before getting it out of the water. He did find something else really cool. Annabelle enjoyed playing in the rocks and taunting us by putting them up to her mouth and licking them. Then she'd laugh when we would tell her "no."As the sun was dropping below the trees I asked Mike to help pose a silhouette .

Then on Monday we had a cookout with Chuck, Clare and Guinny, and our friends/neighbors Mike, Sage and the kids. Annabelle got to play in the wagon with her BFF Guinny.

After eating we all went across the street to our neighbor's house and played on the swingset and in the yard. Annabelle has started this now where she'll play a bit but then crawls into either Mike's or my lap for a recharge before going to play some more. Mike was reclined, so this is what she did.

Here are my neighbor's girls. Gracie is MJ's cutie pie wife. You should hear her voice, it is the cutest sound ever. And Molly is just stinkin' gorgeous. I can't wait to steal these girls for some photoshoots!

MJ and Jack spent most of the time digging in the mulch. God Bless Rentals! :)

Anyway, we hope everyone had a nice weekend. School starts on Friday so I'm sure we'll have more to post about soon!
